SPAN Ministry
 This local ministry focuses on sharing Jesus while providing home repairs and small scale remodeling services to Biltmore members and non-members in our community who do not have the financial and/or physical ability to maintain their residences at a safe and basic livable condition. Consideration is given to a broad range of needs identified by our church staff, lay leadership, church members and local service organizations. The Ministry’s services are not normally available to individuals/families that have resources to obtain needed home services.
It is God Himself who made us what we are and gave us new lives through Jesus Christ; and long ago He planned that we should spend these lives helping others. Ephesians 2:10 (LB)
Biltmore recognizes that our local community has families and individuals who need to experience God’s love and help. An additional Global Focus ministry serving our Jerusalem area is providing this basic love and assistance. The paramount objective of the SPAN Ministry is to bring honor and recognition solely to Jesus Christ through the willingness of Biltmore members to serve.
The majority of the funding for the ministry comes from partnerships, service organizations, materials suppliers and giving by Biltmore members and friends. To accomplish the needed work, manpower is drawn from Biltmore member servants.
The following examples, though not inclusive, represent tasks that are within the scope of the SPAN Ministry :
- Minor plumbing repairs and installation
- Minor electrical repairs
- Small drywall repairs
- Interior and exterior painting
- Floor repairs
- Maintenance to porches
- Roofing repairs
- Constructing of handicap ramps and landings
- Repairing or replacing windows, storm doors, interior or exterior doors
- Remodeling a room(s) for disability needs of residents
