FAQs

How much do sessions cost?

The services of HOPE Network are offered on a fee basis. The cost of the session is determined by a sliding scale based on gross family income. Members of Biltmore Baptist Church have a discounted fee schedule. The financial need of individuals and families will also be taken into consideration.

Most health insurance policies have a provision for mental health benefits. While HOPE Network does not submit health insurance, we can provide medically coded receipts for clients who wish to file for reimbursement with their own insurance companies, depending on the counselor. Depending on your individual coverage, you may qualify for either in-network or out-of-network benefits. Please check with your insurance carrier for details about your specific coverage.

For fee information specific to your individual needs, or if you’re unsure as to what your needs may entail, please call our office at 828-651-6290.

How long is a session?

Counseling visits are generally offered in 50-minute sessions, and child therapy sessions generally are 30-minutes in length.

How many sessions will I need?

HOPE Network counselors tailor your treatment program to your individual needs. Your counselor will work with you to determine the number of sessions recommended, although your total investment of time is often not known at the onset of counseling.

What is an LMFT and an LPC?

“LMFT” is the abbreviation for “Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist,” a formal designation for an individual who has demonstrated knowledge and skills in marriage and family therapy, and met rigorous licensure requirements per the North Carolina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board. “LPC” is the abbreviation for “Licensed Professional Counselor,” a formal designation for a counselor who has achieved this licensure status per the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors. Only counselors who are licensed by the state are eligible for health insurance submission. Several HOPE Network counselors are LMFTs or LPCs, although we sometimes employ LMFT/LPC interns who are completing their master’s degrees.
