Relevant Places
New Activity Building
We plan to place a building in the green space between the student building and the preschool building. It is not a large space, but it would be more than adequate to provide group worship space for our children’s ministry and allow for a tailor-made space for our preteens. Many recreational activities such as basketball, cheerleading, crafts, concerts, lock-ins and parties could be held in this new space—and the list goes on and on!
Preschoolers
PraiseLand! will receive a much-needed update in its design. The PraiseLand! Welcome Center, along with some interior areas, will be renovated with an “Under the Sea” theme. A high-tech security system will also be installed
Children
Our “new look” in our children’s area will show new children and families that they are truly valued here at BBC. At present, nothing in the existing hallways, entrances, etc., reflects that children are a priority. By renovating these areas, we hope to bring a fresh, updated look that will appeal to many ages.
Students
We want to provide an area that will stimulate excitement as our student’s come and worship God. This renovation will create relational spaces where students can grow closer to God and to their friends. We will be adding pieces of recreational equipment conducive for these smaller spaces so that more people can become involved in activities.
Merging Spaces
Our Following as God Directs plan includes construction of two baseball/soccer fields in the green area near Clayton Road. The grading and drainage work done for these fields will prepare the land for any future development that God may lead us to do. By doing the site preparation now, we will use the land in the interim to enhance our Sports
Outreach and Other Ministries.
Leaders in our UPWARD Sports ministry have reached an impasse in trying to rent fields for our soccer and softball programs. We now minister to approximately 500 children in our community. This is a truly amazing statistic in that we have no real facilities on campus for our programs.
