This past week was full of absolutely wonderful surprises in the life of our church! Clayton King taught in place of Pastor Bruce this past Sunday (as he was out of town at a conference). What I love about Clayton is that he has a very unique way of winning people over for Christ, and his personality makes you feel like you’ve known him your entire life. He really cares and is invested in the life and ministry of our church. He wants to see our church grown. I see him as one of our ministers that we share with a lot of other churches. I appreciate his heart and service, and his willingness to go the extra mile. Love Loud Spring 2010 Recap from Biltmore Baptist Church on Vimeo.
I talked with Clayton before the service and he told me that he woke up that morning feeling and knowing that the Holy Spirit was going to do something impactful that day, and man, he wasn’t kidding! We had approximately 150 people make decisions for Christ! I think everyone in attendance this past Sunday was inspired to move to the next level in their Christian walk and to be a part of what God’s doing in Biltmore Baptist Church.
Speaking of which, I’m so stoked about the Love Loud projects from this past weekend! So many people came out into our community to do manual labor in order to show God’s love for Asheville with nothing expected in return. I would encourage each and every one of us to always look for a place of influence in our lives where we can make a difference. It might be a smile. It might be a help. It might be a word. But always look for an opportunity to give. “It is more blessed to give, than to receive.” Many people found that out this past weekend through Love Loud. Let’s Love out Loud every day of our lives!
