Carl Setterlind- Pastor of Worship
All Things New

This past Sunday you heard a little information about the upcoming renovation our worship center taking place this summer.  We currently have around 1,000 more people in our regular worship services than we had last year! It’s exciting to see God moving and drawing people to Himself through the ministries of our church.  Our prayer is that we continue to plow the ground and allow more people the opportunity to worship with us..that’s what this project is all about.  The fact is that we always have to rethink, always have to make new the provisions that God has given to us. So, I am excited to see that we are a church with a great vision, and we have a pastor with a great vision, so that we will continue to reach our community for Christ until there is no one left to reach!

The neat thing about this renovation is that we’ll be able to make 400+ seats available in our Worship Center!  We’ll also have some terraced/raised seating in the back portions of our worship center.

As with every change, there comes a sacrifice.  The only sacrifice here is a little inconvenience through the summer that would yield additional opportunities for our church to be able to reach Asheville.  Additionally, we’ll be doing a few technical upgrades, as well as shrinking a little portion of the stage in order to make room for more seats.  We’ll also be upgrading the flexibility of on-stage elements and props for our services.  Please pray for this renovation this summer, and continue to reach people for Christ.  Having The Answer is very important…giving it away is even more important. Let’s continue to reach people for Christ as He continues to bless our church!

In addition to the renovations at the church, I too might need some renovations at my house.  We just got a brand new chocolate lab…7 weeks old!  She’s chewing everything she can find!  She’s crewing the side of the door, my cell phone charger…EVERYTHING!  Does anyone have any suggestions???  I need help here!
Hopefully she’ll grow out of it soon!  Below is a picture of our brand new addition.  We thought 5 kids was enough, but obviously we have one more…our little baby dog.  There will be more stories to come (I’m sure) as Choca chews up…I mean grows up…and becomes part of our family.

Carl,
A water bottle is a great teaching tool and harmless - you just spray the pup when she is or is about to chew something. My dog Peach learned this way and we never had a problem. The minute she saw the bottle she sat down. Enforcing this with saying "no" and a little squirt does wonders. Peach is now a well behaved 9 year old and we have had her since she was 10 weeks old. Good luck and God Bless. Linda Rotella
